What is the livedocs patch system

The purpose of the livedocs patch system is to enable storing of patches submitted by developers who do not have CVS commit access to the livedocs source the ability to submit patches to a common interface for review by other developers.

Livedocs has been authored by Wez Furlong with the help of many contributors.

There is now a WIKI for PHP-DOC types.

ID Patch by Summary
3 Curt Zirzow Add's the ability for <parameter role="reference">param</param> to translate to &$param, also makes the the traditional &amp;param work as well.
12 Curt Zirzow Allows theme to define how the navigation is generated. removes the hard coded html within livedoc_funcs.php. Detail description of changes can be found here: http://zirzow.dyndns.org/patches/livedocs/navigation.txt
21 Dave Due to using + instead of * in a regex, empty entities ('') are not matched properly in mkindex.php. Case in point: phpdoc/en/contributors.ent &frontpage.editors; Results in an E_NOTICE in bookinfo. Eg: http://livedocs.phpdoc.info/index.php?l=en&q=bookinfo Patch also adds code to prevent the E_NOTICE from occurring and instead puts a HTML comment.
22 Dave Barr Make column spanning with named columns work (currently only nl_langinfo()).
23 Dave Barr Remake of Patch #21 - fixes variable typo.
