About the livedocs patch system

The livedocs patch system was developed by Jacques Marneweck to enable users of Livedocs to contribute patches via a common web interface.

About livedocs

Livedocs was developed by Wez Furlong after he was frustrated by the length of time that it takes to build the substantial PHP manual from its XML sources (currently around 45 minutes to build the chunked HTML documents in a single language), Wez hacked together a fairly simple set of scripts to view the documents in "real-time"

All one needs to do is index the documentation first - this process takes approx 2 minutes for a single language, and then you are all set to view the docs.

The idea has had a warm reception by the PHP Documentation team, and so Wez opened up the development of these scripts under the terms of a PHP style license.
